Religion and ethics

NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.

At Ingleburn Public School, SRE is delivered on Tuesdays between 11:10am - 12:15pm.

The SRE participation letter is included in enrolment forms which parents should complete and return upon enrolment of their child. After the initial enrolment, written notification is required from parents/carers to change a SRE class or to withdraw from SRE.

SRE classes offered at Ingleburn Public School include Catholic, Islamic and Protestant. During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities.

For more information about each SRE, including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please click on the link below:

During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.

You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.
